Burns night! See Peanut and Snowball celebrate!

hi everyone!
tonight in Scotland,
it is Burns night.
so Peanut and Snowball have realised
something about their history...

it is true - Peanut was born in Scotland
and both came from Scottish pet shops.

why not ' tatties '?( mash potatoe in old scots )
potatoes are not good for hamsters

and now its time to taste probably the
most scottish thing on the dinner table -
The Haggis!

now the traditional way to end
burns night... take it away Snowball!

Peanut and Snowball take part in a gameshow

hey everyone,
thank you so much for viewing this blog!
i have looked at the amount of pageviews and
theres more than 1000 page views! thank you so much!

on other matters though tonight I
have organized a game show for
peanut and snowball to take part in.
the rules are - 
1.buzz in when you know the answer to the 
question! the one who gets most questions right wins!

first contestant, Peanut!

and second contestant, Snowball!

1st question : what is 2+ 5?

incorrect! its 7.
next question - if i get 5 seeds
and add 4 more, how many seeds do i have?

wrong! i have 9 seeds.
next question , how many objects are in snowball's
cage?

wrong! I never said count the shavings! Snowball
has 6 items in her cage.
next question , where do hamsters
live?

incorrect! they come from syrian deserts and
pet ones live in cages like you, Peanut!
next question, what is 7 - 2?

incorrect! Its 5.
final question - 
what is 5 - 3 + 4?

wrong!

ok, the results are in!
and everyones won - if I had
asked different questions.

I don't think Peanut and Snowball
understand I am joking.

hi everyone,

tonight Peanut immagines what wearing a pair of glasses
would be like ...
and snowball does some circus training...

as a special bonus my sister managed to capture

Peanut reads a book

hi everyone,

tonight i decided to let Peanut read a fictional story
book all about a mischevious hamster who escapes,
Peanut would love to read a story wouldn't she?

Peanut on the other hand, has other ideas...

Peanut is set a challenge!

hi everyone!

Tonight i remembered when i cleaned out Peanut's
cage, I saw her trying to escape her wire pen
so i decided tonight to set her...

this is how the challenge works :

1.Peanut is placed in her wire pen with a few objects she
could use to escape with including : a mini  ladder, a pot of hamster mix,
and her bendy wooden bridge.

2. Peanut is left in the pen ( supervised ) 
and to complete challenge she needs to find a
way to escape the wire pen and use this method to get out
of the wire pen.


so, lets see how she did....

( Peanuts  attempts to escape are shown in films,

 (sorry about voice in the last video,
snowball weed on my sister and bit her 
so my sister complained. )

as you can see in the 1st video, she didnt do very well...
lets see if she can improve in the next video.

Hooray! Peanut has completed the challenge!

also, I gave snowball this chalenge too, but she couldn't
find a way out and failed the challenge.

behind the scenes 4 - strange behaviour from Snowball.

hi everyone,

tonight i decided to do part 4 of
behind the scenes - its not snowball being cleaned, much
stranger....

tonight i will show you some strange behaviour of snowball...
firstly tonight my sister accidently lifted off her orange
nesting box and it revealed an egg shaped nest!
but thats not unusal.

whats unusal tonight is Snowball started making strange noises
when both my sister and i were holding her.
the noises sounded a bit like ' pfff pff pfff ' only a lot
more high - pitched and frequent. I dont know why she made those noises
we wernt doing her any harm.

anyway, Peanut begged for food at the bars like normal.
at least my hamster is behaving normally.

also below, is a video of Peanut and Snowball doing there
nightly duties.

(please excuse annoying whistle in background, that was my sister.)

if anyone reading this has any idea why snowball
might be making these noises, please comment on this post or contact me 
on Google+ , it'll probably be perfectly normal, but i want
to just make sure it isnt anything bad.

behind the scenes 3

hi everyone!

tonight is a bit of a surprise -
today i cleaned out Peanut so i thought I would
do a third installment of behind the scenes...

















tonights blog will see what goes on when i clean out Peanuts
cage and the antics she gets up to.
firstly i clean the cage...

















and whilst i am cleaning her cage i put Peanut
in her wire pen or hamster ball,
below i have made the adjustable pen into the shape
of a star, why? Peanut will tell you below...

however Peanut does get bored and escaped
when i cleaned the cage - thankfully i managed to catch
her before she could get to any harm.

















Peanut does not like getting her cage cleaned so when i return
her newly cleaned cage i give her some treats...

















.... then she sets to work rebuilding her nest ,
 she pouches her nesting fluff and rearanges it.

Snowball often wakes up to see whats
going on...

well you heard Snowball,
i might  let  you see what Snowball gets up to
when i clean her out.

and probably more behind the scenes episodes in the future!
